The Raptors’ Winning Ways

The Raptors have played phenomenally over their 12 game win streak. Aside from having the best record in the league over that time frame they also lead the league in field goal percentage at 50.6% and three point percentage at 39.5%. Their 27.6 assists and league leading 10.8 assists per game is the reason for their efficient shooting, awarding them a plethora of easy shot opportunities. They’ve averaged a league-high 24.2 points off of turnovers.

Their most impressive stat however is them allowing a mere 40 points in the paint per game. The Raptors achieve this by being so tenacious on defence. Their rotations and double teams are well timed and prevent what would be easy points for the opposition.

Kyle Lowry: Franchise Leader in Heart

Kyle Lowry was phenomenal throughout the game. His 32 points was a game-high and was accompanied by 10 assists and 8 rebounds. With 23 points in the second half he was the driving force in the comeback. He was relentless in his attack, continuously driving to the rim for tough lay-ups. He varied his offence with efficient 50% (3-6) three-point shooting. Seeing Lowry take control of the game is electrifying.

Serge Ibaka: Clutch

Serge Ibaka poured in a season-high 30 points against the Pacers including the dagger three that sealed the game. He dominated down-low going 11-14 from inside the arc. The Pacers had no answer for his size and physicality.
